Nonfungible Cats
Each drawing portrays a real cat, and each conceals a little mystery within its pixels, waiting to be unravelled.
Hints will be graciously offered for puzzles that remain unsolved.

The first solver shall be granted the honour and privilege of donating 210,000 sats towards the care of these charming little predators. In return, they will receive the cat’s NFT, its real photograph, and receipts documenting how their contribution was spent.
The fortunate solver will have 21 hours to claim their cat.
Beneath each drawing hides a puzzle that combines steganography, cryptography and other encoding and obfuscation techniques, layered with signals, code and logic.
Some secrets are invisible to the eye and can only be uncovered with the right tools. Each cat is a different lock.
Work with the original file, byte for byte. Screenshots and chat apps recompress the picture and destroy what is hidden in it.
The cats live on Nonfungible.cash, an experimental platform where the NFT is the image itself. Instead of an entry on a public blockchain pointing to a file stored somewhere else, ownership travels inside the file: a cryptographic credential tucked into the image’s metadata. The picture looks exactly the same.
Whoever holds the file and redeems it first owns the NFT, so it can be handed over on a USB stick, by email or with a link. The mint, built on Cashu ecash, only makes sure the same NFT is never spent twice: it never learns which picture moved, or who gave it to whom. Minting and sending are free.
